Well finished, with a quality heft and no slop or looseness in its action. Forks seem reasonably well hardened, but I plan to stock up on some Bergeon spares.For what it cost, five stars.

Not a bad tool and it can help keep you from expanding it too far to mess up your lugs But I find it doesn’t give you enough range of motion when you’re pressing in. I prefer my bergeon tweezer style but I got these just to have them and to see how they worked. If you adjust them properly and take your time they will work fine and to get a nicer set is very expensive so for the price they’re pretty decent. I get some spare time I might try and modify them and that could possibly make them work better

This version is not the most expensive nor the cheapest available. What you are buying into are the quality tips that make this work and worth it. This comes with a cool case, but I wish it was able to keep the specific tip rather than uninstalling the tips and put it into the container that mixes the other remaining tips. This alone makes me hesitate to use this tool but I know it is better for the watches with tight tolerances and no spring bar holes on the case. Using these minimalizes the scratches on the lugs and with practice and choosing the correct angle to install and uninstall will come with practice.

The prongs broke on two sizes of these after a couple of uses. Used one set on a very expensive watch with strong springs and they simply aren’t durable enough.

I have a very similar tool that cost about $25. I mean, similar as in it might have been made in the same factory. The only difference seems to be the way the foam in the case is cut.I have never tried the expensive Swiss ones, but I can say that these Chinese ones work and are indispensable for steel bracelets. But, they can take a while to get the hang of. It can still be fiddly, but it's better than using a regular spring bar tool.No need to spend twice as much for this one as it's not better than my $25 one.

I purchased this to replace the band on my Tag Heuer watch. I have a stainless steelBand and a rubber band. Each time i wanted to swap them i had to go to the store and they were very nice to do it. I finally decided to get my own tool and avoid the trip to the mall. It has been great, you have to be a little handy and careful not to scratch the watch. But the tool works wonderfully. Has saved me many trips to Tag Heuer.

The teeth on the tool broke the first time I used this to take the strap off my BB58. Just buy the Horofix or Bergeon instead.
