Very cautiously bought this, considering I'm half way across the world (Australia).It arrived in solid styrofoam, without any damage. Congrats to Amazon!Looks very big - in fact, with the lid open, I'd need to either put it on an uncovered table, or have a bookshelf with 50cm spacing before the next shelf above it. Regardless, the shiny black lacquer looks so good I don't want to hide it away!The glass is faultless, the colour great, the faux-leather (?vinyl) lining is a nice matte black. I like the dials on the FRONT near the rotators - I don't have to reach around to the back to choose my settings.The small pull-out drawer at the front-bottom seems to fit 4 watches, but I wish I could completely empty it to keep other things in there.The lock mechanism is a perfect fit (ie. when locked you can't even jiggle the lid around) but I don't intend to lock it.The small power adaptor works in Australia (has dual voltage), you just need a US-to-AU adaptor for the prongs.Works beautifully so far! I've set it on setting '5' for now, to see if 3hrs-on, 9hrs-off will keep my watches wound enough. Very quiet.If it plays up, I'll post another review. Happy so far!

This item was a gift for my fiancée who really likes nice watches. When it came in the packaging I was a little nervous because it seemed huge. Overall it is a very sleek looking display and has great presentation. All 4 winders work properly and are super quiet. The only down side is 1. It's pretty large and takes up a good deal of space on the dresser and 2. The "black holder things" in the drawer part make it difficult to fit the watches. He took most of them out except for a couple of smaller watches that could fit. Overall it is a very impressive looking item and it is very quiet. I would totally recommend this product!

I purchased two watch winders from this company - Diplomat. One in 2014 and the second watch winder in Feb 2019. Both of these watch winder failed and stopped working. I would not recommend this product to anyone as I have now spend in excess of $400.00 on the purchase of two of their watch winders. No warranty. Very disappointed. Amazon was unable to provide me with contact telephone information to contact the company.

I was lookoing for a multiple watch winder and I found units as high as $3,000. I was a liitle concerned about the attractive price for the Diplomat but from the moment I opened the box the unit has exceeded my expectations. Its attractive, well built, quiet and operates as advertised. I've had it for over a month and my watches are keeping accurate time. I would highly recommend this product.

3 stars due to high price and adequate quality...Well what isn't overpriced these days? This winder will look nice upon your dresser or in your closet/ dressing room. The materials and craftsmanship are adequate but not exceptional, at almost $200, the seller is the winner in this transaction. It is black lacquered MDF and vinyl as far as I can tell, but it performs the duties for which it was purchased.Looking at other offerings, this is a good deal in terms of capacity and features; power switch on the back, selector knobs on the front, and a four-watch drawer are pluses. It has a fairly quiet operation (with lid shut). I find the third switch position works best for my watches. I purchased this winder about 3 months ago and so far so good. I hope this thing is reliable, as the warranty card holds no usable information; this was a shot in the dark purchase and remains so.I have watches 42 to 50 mm in diameter, with two watches loaded, one crown touches the other watch but the winder accommodates them without crowding and the motor operation remains smooth.The pillows are just a bit small and a little tucking is required to remove excess slack from the strap/bracelet to stop or reduce flopping while rotating. I own a Swiss Legend Commander which fits in the bottom drawer, without issue.Keeping things in perspective, $200 to "maintain" watches costing exponentially more seems a minor investment.I recommend this watch winder to others, but only if they're willing to take a chance. For me; so far, so good.

All that I can really say is wow. I can't comment on the long term reliability (I've only had it a week), but it looks *really* nice with a good quality build.The only problem that I can see with it, is the included pillows are too small for my wrist (I have a large wrist, but not unusually large). I had to use a few pieces of cloth (salvaged from a dress sock) to "build up" the pillows. It came out find for me, but keep in mind that they are on the smaller side...

Nice looking product with 4 settings. So far so good after about 3 months of constant operation (Tag, Vostock, and a couple of cheapos).I like the extra drawer for 4 quartz / mechanical or low use autos, I might even buy another one of these just to give myself an excuse to buy more watches. Inside and out it seems well manufactured and looks the part. Glass on front is key (I see a lot of plastic models out there) and it is a pretty heavy / solid construction so that gives me a little bit of confidence the winder will last. Actually pretty quiet.2 thumbs up for the craftsmanship, layout, and the extra drawer.
