I have been interested in purchasing a mala for some time, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money--some can cost close to a hundred dollars or more! Still, I wanted something that looked attractive and preferred a style with variegated beads.I was curious about the "zipao stone" in this item description. When I research zipao stone, I found that it was a derivative of jade, which I have always loved, so I decided to order. It shipped from China, with an expected delivery of one month or more, but I received my mala much sooner, after only about 2 1/2 weeks. The bead appear very much like the picture in the item description--they vary in color, with most being a darker greenish gray, some a lighter green, a few almost ivory/tan in color (see my own attached photos). Because the mala is stone, it feels nice and substantial, which I also like. The only thing that I thought could use a bit of improvement was the tassel. I specifically wanted a mala with a tassel, and although this one looks okay, the feel is not as soft as I had hoped--it is the one part of the product that seems rather cheap.Overall, I am extremely happy with this mala and would recommend it; I may even order another from this company.
