- This Prayer beads is Tendai's one for recitation or meditation. Tendai is a school of Mahayana Buddhism in Japan, a descendant of the Chinese Tiantai or Lotus Sutra school. A center of Japanese Tendai "Enryaku-ji temple" is on Mount Hiei, Northern Kyoto. It's also famous as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- There are three size for T'ien-t'ai juzu. one is ohira (about 30cm length) which is the biggest one for buddhist or men, one is 9 inch(about 27cm length) for men, one is 8 inch( about 24cm length) for women.

About Keyaki wood
Keyaki is mainly native to East Asia, including Japan, China, and the Korean Peninsula.
As the zelkova grows large, its branches and leaves separate into beautiful fan-like shapes, giving it a beautiful shape.
It is a tree that has been loved in Japan for a long time because it changes its expression according to the changing seasons of Japan.
Keyaki's most important feature is its extremely strong durability.
