My ring is lovely. The color is only bright like that in the sunshine (or possibly well-lit rooms, I would not know.) It is quite lovely in low-lighting, but it is definitely darker than the picture. Also, the prongs are double prongs, which is a wonderful surprise because they are more durable and it makes the prongs look more decorative. I have enormous hands for a girl, (about the same length as an average man's hands) so this size is large but does not look ridiculous. The band has a good thickness to it as well. The packaging was gorgeous. It has a large satin bag and an adorable ring box (looks like a treasure chest!) inside of a cute ring box wrapped in a pretty bow. I was disappointed that the inner box broke the second time I used it, but it certainly had a "wow" factor when I opened it. (Update: the ring box was not broken, I just shut it improperly and it works fine now.) I really love this ring. I did not think I would b/c it is a solitaire (and it seems like everyone and their mother have a solitaire ring) but I really do! Hubby did a great job! Also he mentioned a warranty if you register using your e-mail.
