I bought this and the matching earrings because I think having some ancient Roman glass is so romantic. I am very impressed and pleased with these pieces, the glass is more iridescent than I had imagined, and the silver settings are great. Very much like pieces I had seen in an art catalog, but much more reasonably priced. They are bold but simple and discrete enough to wear with anything.

The craftsmanship is very good and it’s a nice necklace but the one I received is no where near the same beautiful rich blue colors as the one in the picture, it’s sort of dull. I guess it’s just hit or miss when it comes to matching the colors and because of this I am very wary of ordering Roman glass again with out seeing it first. Probably should have returned it, but if the colors don’t matter to you, it’s a pretty necklace.

I ordered 2 of these as gifts and I am very pleased with them. They are lovely necklaces. The colors of the glass are beautiful and the craftsmanship is good. The colors are not vibrant, but are softer tones and really are lovely. I wish they were a little heavier, but overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

My wife loves all kinds of glass and is a maker of glass art and jewelry. These seemed perfect for her and in truth she really likes them and loves wearing glass used by people thousands of years ago. That said they are not blue, they are grey and it changes them completely . Changing from blue to grey changes them from something attractive that draws the eye to something conventional and a bit boring. These are the elevator music of jewelry, designed to blend into the background, not to be noticed...which is kinda the opposite reason most people wear jewelry. So she wants to keep them because I gave them to her...but I feel a little let down and I wish she'd got what I intended.

I already owned a pendant of Roman glass that was a slightly lighter color than shown on its product page, but this pendant is exactly as colorful as the one in the seller's image. I'm very happy with this purchase. (I'll substitute a nicer chain, but I wasn't expecting anything but a standard chain, so no big deal.)
