My first reaction on opening the box was how fake the gold looked. It's very shiny but lacks the depth of real gold chain.... but for this price that's what you get. It's fine for casual jewelry or wearing on its own. Extra bit of loops to help length or do minor adjustments. Chain is sturdy and drapes nicely.... but just looks fake.

I got this item for my 14-year-old daughter, to have some variety in her jewelry for school. She's very happy with it, and has been wearing it fairly often for a couple of weeks.The necklace looks quite nice, with a convincing gold coloring. After lots of wear time, including active situations, and different weather conditions, the plating still looks great and shows no signs of discoloration. The heart pattern is noticeable and cute, without going overboard. It's just a subtle image.The clasp opens smoothly, and allows you to adjust the sizing of the chain.The item comes packaged in a lovely box. Inside is the chain, together with a card containing a positive message. It makes a nice presentation as a gift. The only thing I don't like is the plastic bag for the chain. I'd rather just see it attached inside the box.Overall, a very nice chain, with a successful heart theme. I recommend it.
