The necklace is very nice and would make a cute gift for a loved one. The chain seems sturdy, and the little envelope is a bit bigger than I expected from the pictures, but not huge. The envelope flap has a little magnet to keep it closed, but I don't think there's much of a chance of losing the little card - I had to stick a piece of tape to the edge in order to get it out of the envelope at all. There is a tiny hole in the card that I suppose you could attach a small loop or tiny bit of chain to and connect it to the necklace jump ring in order to ensure it against loss. The engraving on the card is rather light, but with a dark color wash over it, it might bring it out more and make it more readable. All in all, it's a very nice gift for a dear friend or relative.
