The cotton string that connects these beads is hand tied between each bead. The bindu or 'guru' bead is just a tiny bit bigger than the other beads in this mala. The tassel is a little less full than the picture indicates and includes the cotton cord of the mala itself.It's a beautiful mala--the slight variation in rudraksha color and texture really elevate this piece to one of a kind.

Being short a couple of beads doesn't bother me, and the mala is generally attractive overall. Sizes between the beads are pretty consistent, but not in a way that's concerning. The packaging was attractive, nice little burlap satchel well tied off, stamped box, cards inside as shown in the video. I think overall it's a really cute package, would make a great gift for someone, assuming they had awareness of the mala, it's meaning, use, and perhaps that they'd like to air it out for a couple of days.

I am very pleased with this Mala. It arrived on time & came in a well packaged box & wrapped in a clean cloth. The size & number of beads were perfect.
