I bought this ring a couple days before Valentine's day, because I wanted to give myself some kind of gift. I felt I deserved it.Since it was shipped Valentine's weekend, it didn't come as fast, but it did come the day after V-Day. I bought it in a size 4, for my pinky finger, since I'd always wanted one. It is exceptionally darker than the picture, but you can't always expect the real thing to look EXACTLY like the picture. But nonetheless, the ring is stunning, and fits perfectly on my finger. I am so glad, I don't have to worry about scratching it, and it still looks the exact same as when I received it. The ring is definitely worth more than the price given, but I am glad I found this ring at such a cheap price. Even with the darker color, it still shines, and sometimes I forget I'm wearing it.I definitely recommend this ring to anyone who wants something that is sturdy, and attractive, and light-weight.Update: I've had this ring for almost a year, still not a scratch. Still as shiny as when I bought it.

The ring itself was very nice, however, you cannot tell it is engraved. The engraving is so small you need a magnifying glass to read it!

I purchased this ring because I wanted something practical, cheap, and available as an alternative to my nice set.I must say, it is surprisingly comfortable. Tungsten has an almost oiled feel, which is silky smooth sliding on and off one's finger. Only my stone rings come close to the same luxurious feel. The size runs true, and while the ring easily slides on and off it feels very secure while being worn. The ring is lightly etched TUNGSTEN on the inner band with no other markings. The color is comparable to hematite, a silvery gun metal grey. While it is heavier than a standard 2mm band, at this size that weight is almost negligible. I've worn it for a few days at this point and must say it has not reacted to my finger. If there are any issues after a month or so I will report back for those of us with sensitive skin. If I do not, all is well.I would highly recommend this ring for those who are practical, who desire something a little different and special, who love hematite or at least do not mind it, and anyone who wants a solid, durable, non-traditional ring that will need minimal maintenance.If you want the hematite color without the shine, find something brushed. If you expect something closer to silver buy titanium and be prepared to have it polished on occasion. And if you just want to spend money buy palladium or platinum. As for myself I choose durability and strength.With all that, I must caution that tungsten and titanium are not re-sizable by any jeweler, nor can they be repaired. They should be taken off when working with harsh chemicals such as bleach, or chlorine in the local pool as all jewelry must.

Pros- Perfect ring- Extremely shiny and would not lose it's mirror finish even when bounced off concrete or any other rough and hard surface- As comfortable as a ring could possibly be- Shiny... very shiny- This particular ring is closer to silver than most other TC ring. Think of it as halfway between silver and gun metal silver- You can go swimming with this without worrying if it will tarnish. Even in salt water.Cons- No re-sizable. But at US$20 it's still cheaper to get your size wrong than to buy a similar ring of gold/platinum/titanium- I read that if your finger gets injured you cannot cut this ring off. But the same source said that it can be broken off pretty easily if the hospital has the right tools (because TC is more brittle than other metals). I'm not sure what the right tool is. But if all hospitals have it then this should really be a "pro" and not a "con"- Because TC is so hard and brittle it is more likely to chip than to get scratched or tarnished. But if this is a problem, then wearing rings is not for you.Summary - Great ring at an amazing price. You can only go wrong with the size.

UPDATE 12/2/2016: My husband still has and uses this ring. Looks just as flawless as the first day he got it -- that's tungsten for you! I have replaced it 2-3 times because my hubby is a bit forgetful and tends to lose his ring at the gym when he removes it. But that's OK, because this ring is SO affordable. Hubby also really likes the narrow band of it (2mm). He is just not into the chunky style of ring so often advertised for men.All in all, a great purchase. I've bought this classy little ring 3 times over, and I'd do it all over again. :)****************My fiance and I decided to buy engagement rings for each other - equally supporting and celebrating each other and all that. I got a nice pearl & sterling ring from him. He got this great tungsten ring from me. He loves it - great minimalist feel, very very durable. Also love the price! Would definitely buy again - very satisfied! Now to see if he wants another ring for the wedding, or if he's too attached to this one...!! Again, great ring. :)

The ring is great. There are a couple 3 star reviews claiming it isn't as silver as the photo. I can understand kind of what they are talking about... but I don't really agree with the assessment. If you put it under light, it is just as the picture shows. It is a very high gloss (almost mirror like) finish and so far (couple weeks of every day wear) has shown no scratching/etc. I went from an 8mm titanium ring to this 2mm and it is SO much more comfortable. It fits great and I would definitely buy another one if I need to replace this one.Update: Was putting together a desk and had hit the top with my hand to line up a hole and the ring broke. A quarter of the ring just snapped and the remaining ring around my finger had fairly sharp edges on it. Just a mild safety issue... just wanted to let you know these aren't indestructible. Probably due to the thin band, but never the less, I am going back to standard gold rings from now on.
