There are two waist chains in this set.The first is beaded with a slide closure. The downside of the slide closure is that you have to either step through it or put it over your head. For a waist chain, either is somewhat awkward. Otherwise, this piece is nice. The beads are attractive and well cut, and the colors are attractive; they change based on the light, but they are greenish grey, greyish purple, and iridescent brown shades. The chair has a nice weight, and the links do not kink or catch. It is also comfortable against the skin.The second looks like leftovers from a belly dance costume. It has an "add on" section, to lengthen the set. Unfortunately, I am a few links too large and need the add-on. This section, as well as the last 1/3 of the main section are unadorned. This means with the extra section, half of the chain is plain. Since the links are large and cheap-looking, this really brings down the appearance of the entire chain. However, the decorations aren't that great - they are small flat discs, like plain "coins." They have an obvious front and back, with a raised edge on the back. The edge is rough and uncomfortable, which is a problem when it's worn against the skin. Additionally, due to the side of the links and the movement of the "coins," every time I take this off or pick it up to look at it, it's tangled again.Overall, this set has one nice waist chain and one absolutely terrible one.
