I use this case for daily storage. It works well for this purpose. I splurged for the red and black version which provides good contrast between the black foam insert and the red lining. The lining material is soft and velvety. The foam insert is typical cheap foam that you might see in packing materials. It’s not the end of the world, but would be nicer if it was covered with the same liner material. Over time I suspect the foam may degrade - but only time will tell.My watch (a 40mm size) fits on the insert but the crown sticks into the foam and has already made an indentation. I have dropped this case with a watch in it and there were no ill effects so thumbs up there!The case is particularly strong on the top and bottom. So crushing by placing on a flat surface and applying pressure to the top is not likely to damage a watch. The only concern I would have in using this for travel is that when you squeeze the sides of the case there is significant give. I’m not sure if it would actually damage a watch since the top and sides are all firm material with ballistic nylon on the outside and soft material on the inside. I wouldn’t want to throw it in a bag or suitcase where it could get squeezed from the sides. Overall it is a great case for my particular use case, but not convinced that it would be a good option for travel.
