As advertised. Comes in handy for big fingers.

My first experience with these. I just purchased a couple of hand wind jeweled movement watches, and this device works great.

I bought this watch winder because I've accumulated a lot of mechanical watches over the years and I have a hard time winding some of them because my fingers are getting older, because some of the crowns are worn and slippery, and because some the watches were just designed so they are hard to wind. However, before the review, I'll share some useful info on which size winder to buy because I could not find this information anywhere in the description or reviews and I wound up taking a guess, which fortunately worked out for me. Almost all of the crowns that I would use this winder on measure about 5mm in diameter, with some going up to 6mm. I took a guess and bought the winder that is marked 4.0-5.0. This means that the minimum crown this winder will work with is 4.0mm in diameter. However, the winder head expands considerably and will fit crowns almost up to 6mm. So rather then having a 1mm range which the markings imply, this winder, and I presume the others in the family, have a range of about 1mm larger then what is marked.Regarding the product review, first the good.- The winder is very well made. Solid steel, well finished, (almost) well fitted parts. This winder will outlast me.- Simple to use one handed. Hold the winder between thumb and middle finger against the crown, push in the button on the end with the index finger to expand the collet, and slip the expanded collet over the crown. Now the bad- As others have mentioned, the button/collet spring is VERY strong. My wife with arthritic fingers cannot use this tool one handed as described above. It takes more then just her index finger to push the button and she must adjust her technique. But on the other hand (no pun intended) the strong spring is probably needed in order to grip the small sometimes worn crowns firmly enough to wind the watch without slipping, so it's a tradeoff you need to be aware of when purchasing.Overall this is a quality made, required tool for anyone owning an old or modern windup watch.

This works nicely, but be careful to buy the correct size. I had to buy 3 of these before I got one that actually fit my watch.

Unlike Seiko, Orient and Aragon watches, the Omega Seamaster has a body that prevents a good grip on the crown and makes it difficult to manually wind. This tool works as describes and makes manually winding the watch quick and easy.

Perfect for my Speedmaster Professional. Makes winding the Speedy a breeze! Fits the crown perfectly, no worries of any damage to the case.

Very pleased with materials quality. A very difficult fit for my Watch crown and the spring was very heavy to compress and made for many ‘slips’ of the crown.
