This is certainly appropriate for an adult, but in our case it was for my teen daughter. She loves that it has so many different types of storage (beyond just jewelry) and clock to keep her little sister out. Assembly was quick and easy, but does need 2 people (just to hold a couple of pieces in place while the other person screws them in- so the second person could be a kid). This really made my daughter’s bedroom look and feel more grown up and it’s just so functional without taking up much space. We love it.
