I read the reviews about the gauge being bigger than expected and thought it would be fine. They definitely should advertise these as being gaged in some capacity. I couldn't get them in my ears, and I don't think the holes in mine are particularly small. :/

I wanted these to replace regular stud earrings I had been wearing. For those, like me, who are not intimately familiar with gauges and typical earring thickness, these are huge compared to regular earrings. I tried oil and putting them in right after showering and it was a total nonstarter. I love the style, and the screw in backs. I just wish they were available with a more slender post for small holed wimps like myself. I had to return mine.

The posts are thick, almost like a gauged earring. Caused irritation to my ears. They are very cute though, nice soft gold color. I'm sure if I wore them long enough my ears would stretch out, but I doubt I will do that.
