The chain is very good quality. However, I immediately had problems with the latch staying latched. After looking closer at it, there is a split ring on the end of the chain for the "lobster claw" latch to attach to and the ends of the ring are far enough open to allow the claw to slip through and allow the chain to fall off. I took a pair of pliers and squeezed the ring so that the ends of the ring overlap which keeps the lobster claw from falling through. Fix that problem and I would give it a 5 star rating.

I wanted a chain that wouldn't catch my tiny neck hairs or my long hair, and wasn't sure the best style-this works for that for fine straight hair anyway. Looks nice, too, and doesn't tangle, kink or bunch.The pics looked to me like the loop was the same size as the chain-it's not. It's a normal split ring, so to put it on my pendant I had to take it off and put it back on, which is ready enough to do with pliers.Definitely recommend this item.

Stainless steel should have some kind of reaction to a strong magnet. This is what I would expect from a ferrous metal. My other stainless steel chains stick to the magnet but this one does not. It is also extremely lightweight like an aluminum alloy of some kind, again, unlike each of my other stainless steel chains that I own of the same size. It does have a nice shine that appears to be electroplated and otherwise seems well made but it is not what I needed. I need the strength and durability of real stainless steel to support a heavy pendant and will look elsewhere.
