The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for some new color choices for my pilot’s watch when I came across this JWNSPA NATO strap. I immediately liked the gray strap with khaki edges and thought it would be very eye-catching with the watch’s champagne dial. I also liked the rugged/distressed vibe of this band, compared to the more polished and smooth NATO straps that came with the watch.The first thing I noticed when I received the watchband was how much thicker it was than the other NATO straps I have. It adds 3mm to the thickness the watch and definitely changes the look to something chunkier on the lugs. That’s not necessarily a bad thing—I prefer larger watches in the 40 to 42mm diameter range, so sometimes “chunky” is the look I’m going for.As for the quality, I really like the rugged feel of this band. The stitching is heavy-duty and consistent, the steel hardware is nicely-polished with rounded edges, and the buckle sports the brand logo, rather than just some generic hardware—very nice touch. Interesting to note, none of the photos in the Amazon listing show the logo on the buckle, but it’s there on the watchband I received (see pics).So what do you do if you’re not feeling chunky? NATO straps can also be installed in a “single wrap” configuration, where only one pass of the band sits under the watch case, as opposed to the typical “double wrap”. I’ve included pics to compare the two configurations, as well as a demo video for anyone who’s not familiar with how to do it.Overall, this is now my favorite NATO strap. The color combo is excellent and the rugged, vintage aesthetic fits the watch beautifully. With so many colors to choose from, you’re sure to find one that works for you. Highly recommended.

This watch strap is great. Nice texture and excellent hardware with a satin finish. It seemed perfectly made to order for my watch and the blue colour is spot on. I hope it holds up over time. Well done.

The strap feels good on the wrist and looks great. It is significantly shorter than other brands. 10 to 12mm short which makes tucking the extra difficult. Otherwise, it is a great strap.

The color is a very nice deep blue. The band is about as thick as a seat belt, which is nice. The hardware is better than expected also. The keepers are thicker than others I've had and also the buckle is nicely brushed and pretty thick. I've owned about five or six different NATO straps and this one definitely is the best one I've owned so far.

When I ordered this it seemed darker. Very light colored. These bands are very comfortable and should wear/last for a decent amount of time. I do wish that all of these companies that make these band would keep the length and add a loop ring. In other words, A 12" five ring NATO.Only 3 starsSgt Wall
