Moissanite
Moissanite is one of the best man-made diamonds available, also known as silicon carbide, and is so similar in appearance to natural diamonds that it is difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.
Moissanite has more fire than a diamond, 2.5 times more fire than a diamond, while Moissanite has a moissanite hardness of 9.25, just below diamond 10 and higher than any other gemstone. The high hardness makes it less susceptible to scratching and cracking and will last forever.
The appearance of moissanite remains softer as dust and oil collect. Swimming, bathing or taking a hot bath once or twice with a moissanite ring on may not pose any significant threat to your ring, but long-term exposure can take its toll.

This gem just sparkles. Moissanite is always a nice material, and this one is a top notch piece with very good polish. Just like a diamond this gem will refract light well, and a number of small lights just lights it up. The gem is overall blue in color, but sparkles with a wide variety of color under white light.The gem is true to size and has a consistent shape. Depth is slightly larger than a traditional similar width diamond, but still fits well in most settings.I like this gem a lot, and will be getting more of them for a variety of uses. I primarily work in silver, and the contrast of this blue to the silver is just stunning.Can’t go wrong with this gemstone.
