These earrings are absolutely beautiful. I purchased them to wear along with my other emerald earrings and they are the perfect size. They are a shade lighter than the rest of my emerald jewelry but not that much lighter that the difference is apparent to an on looker. The price was a good price and I am pleased with my purchase.

In the pic, the emeralds look pale, and the ones shipped to me were pale, too. Although they don't tell you what country they are mined from, I'm guessing they are Columbian. They have that slightly milky, opaque appearance. (I'm not a gemologist, just a novice collector.) Basing my review on what I know about Columbian emeralds, I'm only giving 4 stars for this pair of 3 mm gems. They sit in a stamped (JKL14K) yellow gold setting, and the price is reasonable, but the gemstones rate only "good" in color quality. I'm keeping them because they match an emerald necklace I have. I'm adding pics to show detail. BTW, I bought these to replace a pair of emerald studs because I lost one. It turns out that these, as pale as they are, actually match the necklace better than the other earrings did.An added note, make sure you know the size- these are only 3 mm. Studs don't get much smaller than that.Can you pick out the old earring? It's the one in the middle.

I must say these little beauties do impress. The jewel looks like it might be kinda large based by the pictures, it's not though, It's about the size of a bb. But where it lacks in size it make up for in beauty. The gems I received are a gorgeous smokey green mounted on a pretty gold alloy. I must say I'm impressed by the beauty and quality for the price and this made a great little Xmas gift.
