I like the look and feel of the stone beads, they're of a satisfying weight. They're strung together a little too tightly, however. Most elastic-strung Mala beads I've come across are strung with the elastic neutral when the knot is tied; these are not. As a result, the beads kink up a little as they're held in tension against one another. Not exactly ideal when using in meditation, as the beads' tension is hard to ignore and makes for a bit of a distraction.Update: After a month of wear, the elastic string gave, the victim of being constantly in tension (I only wrapped thrice around my wrist) and of the beads being bored with holes smaller than the diameter of that cord when it was at rest. Sad, really, as the weight, as mentioned, was quite satisfying.
