Overall the earrings are very nice looking with a classic, elegant appearance and comfortable to wear. My only concern is the design in the sense that the earrings don't appear to be well balanced. The ruby seems to be a little too small in order to offset the weight of the pearls. The pearls are quite large in reference to the small ruby. Also, the post is placed at the top of the ruby and I'm concerned at some point it might bend or break with prolonged wear. Time will tell if that is going to happen or not. I have purchased similar earrings to these from the same seller with an emerald stone instead of the ruby and those seem to be a lot better balanced by having a larger stone and the post placed more in the center of the stone rather than at the top. Personally, I would have preferred to pay a little bit more and have a slightly larger ruby to offset the weight of the pearls. The earrings came in a soft pouch placed in a box which is excellent for proper storage.
