I love this necklace. I've had mine for a few months now. I've worn it constantly without taking it off and haven't had any problems with it. No, it doesn't look like any of my other rubies, considering the fact that it is completely opaque and has a stone like appearance, rather than a clear, gem stone quality, but I do believe that a gem quality ruby of this size would cost thousands of dollars instead of a couple of hundred. Keeping that in mind, it is still a beautiful stone. The ruby is still cut and polished very smooth and is a deep red color.The main feature I like about this pendant would have to be the way it's shaped and set, meaning no matter how it's laying, it always looks like it's facing in the right direction. With traditional cut and set pendants, they can flip over and be facing upside down while you're wearing it, not with this one. I honestly think this is why this one is my favorite. Oh, and the size of the stone is perfect. Not too big at all.
