I bought these so I'd have something nice to wear when I don't have time to switch out my earrings every day (sounds silly as I type it, but sometimes life DOES get that hectic!). I got the white gold plated in 7mm, and am so happy with them. They are large enough to be seen and look pretty through longer hair, but not so large they're flashy. I've also worn them several days and nights (and showers) in a row with absolutely no irritation. The only thing I would change is that the backs are very tiny and a little hard to handle. A very good purchase!
