Theses definitely don't look like 16g. The post are awesome and are bigger than what I consider normal. Comparing these earrings to my 18g ones side by side there the same size. I compared them to my 16g and there not the same. All of my 18g holes they went in rely easily but the ones I know are sized for 16g to was some work to get it into those. If you purchase these know that the sizes are not as expected. On another note the stone has great color I love them. But I was definitely thrown off because I thought they were smaller stones which is what I was looking for. But all and all they seem great so far. I can answer as to the hypersensitive part of it yet because it was a bit painful putting them in on a few. I'm allergic to some metal earrings so only time will tell.
