These are gorgeous and the perfect size, however the amethyst color is not as deep as pictured. The stones are so teeny, I had a hard time seeing the purple at all. But they are really beautiful.

Even though dimensions are given (1.34 inches) that is the overall height inclusive of the hook and not the diameter of the actual earring. The pictures presented are very deceptive in their enlargement and the stones are so small (minuscule in fact) they can hardly be seen, let alone what color they are. Given all that, they are nice earrings. Just know that they are smaller than presented on the Amazon pages. These will work for my wife's 70th. But I was hoping they would be bigger. She likes hoops and dangly earrings. It also tells me to never again buy jewelry online. I suspect that if these were at a local craft fair, they would be half the cost.
