This is a pretty wooden jewelry box with a clear top. There are spaces for necklaces/bracelets, rings and earrings. The wooden part of the box looks great, and the hinges and fastener are bronze-colored.The product description states that the top is glass, but it feels like plastic to me. That's not a deal-breaker since either material serves the same purpose.The velvet-lined tray inside is removable if you want to make this a trinket box or change the configuration with a different insert. The two tabs separating the compartment on the left side can also be removed if you would prefer one large space rather than three smaller ones.

The wood is stunning! And I love that there is a clear window so I can see what is in the jewelry box. If you were given this as a gift you would think it is far more expensive than what it is.There is only one "layer", which is under the glass, but in a lot of ways that makes sense so you can see all the items that are in there.This makes a perfect "display" jewelry box and it's really great for those of us who tend to forget what we have! This won't hold everything (at least for me) but I am going to use it to hold items of significance and things I'd like to wear more often. This is actually five+ stars if I could add that plus!
