This necklace was exactly what I was looking for. I had been looking for a cross necklace, for a long time now. I wanted one made of wood, or unique material, and all I could find were always the metal silver, gold, or black.I had just about given up on finding one I liked, but then I saw this one. It looked perfect, and when I clicked on it, read the specifications, I had to order.The other issue I was having was finding the right size. The cross necklaces had always been either too big and gawdy, or too small to even see. This one is about an inch in length and width+/-, and that is what I wanted.This cross necklace is really beautiful, and would look incredible on both men and women. However, for women, this is not a dainty or feminine necklace. It is unique and noticable, larger than most pendants, and it doesn't sparkle and shine like so many others do. It's actually quite simple, no bling or extravagance with this one. And that's what I wanted. It's a statement piece that you wear to better reflect your personality. It isn't for wow's, the necklace doesn't steal the show. It goes along with who you are, blending with you and subtly enhancing your look.I highly recommend this cross necklace. It seems like it's made with good materials. The chain is the perfect length of not too long, and not too short. However, I don't think the chain is adjustable, so you might want to verify that before ordering, if that's a factor.

This little cross is very well made and looks masculine to me. My husband has enjoyed wearing it. The stainless steel cross within the wood is just a perfect addition to the beauty and strength. You don’t have to worry that it will break. The chain isn’t adjustable but falls in a perfect place on his chest. He can also put it over his head instead of detaching the clasps each time he wears it. The wood on the cross honestly could be sanded a bit better, but that is easy to do yourself if you choose to. It is a well made piece. I would recommend it.

The Ropartman Wooden Cross Necklace is an attractive but quite small cross that one must view closeup to truly appreciate. It comes in its own small protective bag which snaps shut. The cross is truly attractive and would make a nice Confirmation gift although it definitely would not readily command the attention of others. The walnut would which is hand sanded is a nice touch.

This cross is actually more beautiful in person than in the photos. The photos really can't capture the inlay well, and the inlay is honestly the best-made part of this pendant. It's beautifully-polished and laid properly flush to the wood.Unfortunately, the wood itself was a disappointment. It's cut nicely, but it isn't finished properly. The edges are rough and the corners sharp. If I wear it against my skin, it's scratchy, and if I wear it over a shirt, it grabs the fabric.For strictly visual aesthetics, it's pretty at a distance, but it's not actually very wearable because of how poor the finish on the wood is. So disappointing.

Recently, I ordered a dark ebony necklace embellished with dark stainless steel from Ropartman (resembling this piece) and absolutely loved it. Well, let me say how this second piece from Ropartman doesn’t disappoint and definitely meets or exceeds my expectations.Why did I order another piece, resembling the dark ebony and dark stainless steel, already received? In my opinion, the darker necklace is a bit on the dressier side of the spectrum; whereas, this one is a bit more casual. The wood on the cross, along with the chain, are both lighter in shade and in weight. To help with color, I attached two photos. One photo is of the necklace on a wood cutting board, to help perceive the shade of the cross in comparison to a multi colored wood block. The other photo, with a countertop as background, is as close to IRL (in real life) as my camera and the lighting could capture.I highly recommend this as a gift for any religious holiday or religious landmark (confirmation, communion, etc) or any milestone event such as a birthday or graduation, upcoming wedding, etc. It’s just so symbolic, simple and yet so beautifully elegant, esp for anyone who appreciates the meaning behind a crucifix/cross.Peace be with anyone who buys this..it’s a perfect choice.

The wood cross is a beautiful piece of art. Ropartman is known for making nice wood pendants. The chain is not sterling silver but it's a good sturdy necklace. I wouldn't wear this in the shower though. I just wouldn't take the chance of it tarnishing. It came nicely packaged and the cross is a welcomed reminder of how we should behave according to our faith in God. Any male from teen to elder is sure to love this cross necklace. It's a great gift for Christmas, graduation, or birthdays. Definitely a hit!

I ordered this cross for my husband. I've been looking for one, well it seems like forever. None of them felt right to me when this one came up. I love the wood and silver combination. They look great together and somehow feel more genuine. I had an immediate, this is the one feeling so I grabbed it. love the masculine looking silver chain and the cross looks amazing. It's surprisingly light and the edges are smooth. It looks wonderful on my guy and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cross with a genuine feel that quietly shows their faith.

This is as pictured. In person this cross did not really excite me much. It looks like the pictures, but it just didn't seem special to me. That is just my opinion, so I'm giving it 5 stars since it does look like the description and pictures.
