The image is of how it is after two years.I ordered mine three years ago on July of 2018. Though after two years it began to darken, but it's still visible of what's on it. Though I think maybe it's personally my fault a bit, since I have another medallion on, a St. Benedict (which still hasn't darkened atter 3 years also, but maybe being together caused the medallion on the miraculous virgin to darken(?))Anyways, even though it's darkened, I still wear it until now(since it just fell off the chain and decided to buy another).I gave it five stars since it lasted longer than expected, and I personally loved it. And most of all I liked that even though it was small, It got the attention of someone and they even asked not even a heartbeat later if it was the medallion of the Miraculous Virgin. I think it's worth it in buying it. My late three year review should maybe make you think about it.
