It appears to be molded instead of carved, but that's OK. It means the detail is better even if it also means glass instead of natural obsidian (unless they melted basalt/obsidian to put in the molds? That benefit of doubt allows me to give a good rating)If the material doesn't matter to you it's still a very nice piece. The price is in line with and even good for nice imported glass work.

Man-Made Obsidian jeweler says today. Not hand carve either, rather made from mold and polished. For the price $19.99 free ship, it's OK. Hope they used Obsidian stone powder to form it.
