This is a great watch for the price. It's got a great retro look, but it's also quite classy. I really dislike tiny women's watches, so I've often had to buy men's watches instead, but it's hard to find one that doesn't look comically large on my wrist. This watch is the perfect size -- neither too tiny nor too large. I also love that is has a date window, which can be difficult to find on a ladies' watch. The only drawback is the band. It looks fine, but it feels a bit cheap. I knew from reading the description that it was pigskin, so it wasn't a surprise. But I knew the watch would look much better with a new band so I bought a fullgrain leather replacement. (Note: The description says the band is 18mm. This is wrong. The band is 16mm.) The watch looks fantastic now. Even with the added expense, it looks like it cost twice as much. I love this watch so much, I bought one in the other color with the white dial and brown band as well.

I like the watch very much, it’s not too big or too small, it’s good looking and very stylish.

I had another Casio watch that lasted at least 4 or 5 years. It was great. I exposed it to high amounts of heat on a regular basis and it did great. I wore it 24/7. It was the Illuminator Chrono Alarm watch. It had a canvas band that was destroyed, smelled awful, and just recently the illuminating feature died. And the search to find the perfect watch began. It had to be: Black, classy, have the date feature, and be able to illuminate the date in the dark. This fit the bill and I was so excited. So far, everything looks great. I haven't been able to test the illuminating capabilities yet. It was easy to set the time. I usually have to ask either a brother or a boyfriend to set my watch. Since this was analog, it was very easy to do. I was a little concerned because I have a small wrist and I don't like things to be loose on my wrist. On my other watch I had it set to the tightest setting and it was a little loose ( I think it may have been a mens watch, though). This one I don't even have it on the tightest and it is very comfortable. I still have another 3 notches to make it tighter.I will say the date feature isn't the easiest to read if you just look fast. I have 20/20 vision and the print is just a little small. It's not a big deal. The other numbers are very easy to read. The cut of the leather isn't the highest quality. It does have a nice leather smell. But you can tell at the edges they didn't finish them off as nicely as it could have been. I'm sure with time it'll smooth out and look nice. It's not a raw edge though, the finished the edge with some type of paint or rubber, which is nice.Overall, I love it. The style is excellent. I hope the face doesn't scratch.

The watch is slightly less than 1.5" long and exactly 1.25" wide per the description. I like the expensive look of the watch face although I wish the numbers were slightly smaller. The band seems well made and it say s"Genuine Leather" on the inside - I'll update to let you know if/when the glue binding starts coming apart. For the money, this is a great watch and I hope it lasts a while.UPDATE 9/18/2017. The watch has held up pretty well in the 2+years I've owned it. No ugly scratches even though I'm clumsy. The only thing that hasnt held up is the little piece of fabric that holds the band down has frayed so I think I'll get a new one. See updated pics.

This does not look cheap. It looks like a quality material. Unfortunately, my mum, whom it was bought for, does not like the small face. I am not sure why I thought the face would have been larger. The face is average but she likes them oversized. It is a nice watch which she wears daily.
