I know these are listed as birthstone months, but I chose the October month as it's a pink tourmaline, and I can't go wrong with pink.The necklace comes in a giftable box, but the necklace does need to be threaded through the pendant I think that's to help prevent tangling of chain during transit. The chain is a box style, which, I feel is one of the best style chains in order to reduce tangling in hair, and the clasp operates smoothly. The pendant itself is a really good size visually. Whomever you gift this to, or yourself, is going to enjoy a beautiful butterfly pendant that can actually be seen, and not disappear easily. It's large enough to be seen and yet, not too large to be gaudy-its just right. The butterfly is detailed, the sterling is polished to a high gloss shine, and the stones are cut well with a ton of sparkle!This pretty necklace is sturdy enough for daily wear, and gorgeous enough for more formal situations. It's appropriate for giving as a special occasion item, or just because. This necklace is a definite value for the money.
