Oh I LOVE this necklace so much! It's a nice size for either gender and is very sturdy feel. Very nice quality, so much so that I'm buying another as a backup or gift. Really surprised I can get this much sterling silver for the price but it appears to be solid, no signs of copper showing or anything like that. I can't see how anyone would be disappointed with this unless looking for a huge medallion like in the Neverending Story. I like this size so I can secretly feel connected to the movie while sporting a super sweet Ouroboros which has it's own special meaning. I think you can often tell good quality by the clasp or the part it hangs from. It's not just a little dinky metal ring that can open easily & pendant falls off chain. It a thick continuous piece of sterling silver,,unless you cut the metal, this baby is staying on. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this necklace. So happy with purchase.
