One of the features that drew me to this pendant is the striking black etching, which another purchaser mentions as being present on the one she purchased. When I received the cross yesterday, I was initially disappointed that mine has no black etching at all.After a few minutes of contemplating the cross, I loved the simplicity of its design, look and feel and appreciated the fact that the silver is the main feature. I’m not sure that I would have liked it as much with the black etching, though I had preferred this initially.The cross is sturdy and is of sound crafstmanship, and the size is not too large and not too small for me. It is beautiful and substantial without being an overbearing attention magnet. It is pretty without being “dainty.” The entire pendant, from the bail to the end, measures 1.5 inches, and the widest part of the piece is one inch. The tactile impressions in the metal have a pleasant feel and look.The amethyst heart is just a bit lighter in color than depicted on the website. I love this surprise, as well. I just purchased a second one for a friend whose birthstone is amethyst. I hope the gift cross that arrives is exactly like the one I own, because I know that she will simply love it without the black contrast. If hers arrives with the black etching, I will give her the one I received yesterday. It will be perfect for her.

Ordered the Cross with “Natural Amethyst” inset as a Christmas present for a friend, it arrived today and is very pretty.Although I checked the size for ordering, and looked at the representation on the ordering page, it appears a little smaller than expected. Compared it to a coin, and the cross itself (sand bale) is the size of a 1/2 dollar.Maybe because this sort of cross is may take more size to be get the full effect of the design. Still in all very nice.There is little or no oxidation (or coloring), so it is very shiny, almost too much so; and, I had to look really hard to see the stone.At first glance I thought I was sent the wrong product, but after I inspected found the stone is indeed there. The shine of the metal sort of eclipses the effect of the stone, my friend loves the color purple, and so I hope she likes it. There is a .925 Silver stamp on the back, so the cross is silver, not plated.Also when you rub your finger across the back of the cross, I felt something sharp, at first thought was a burr in the metal, but it is the facet of the stone sticking out of the back of the cross. I tried it on, and it did not seem to cause any irritation.Amazon shows an 86% 5Star approval rating, read the reviews and the comments made by the other reviews are pretty much as I feel. I am giving it one too.It is worth the reasonable price; good value. The little presentation bag will make it a perfect gift.

It's a beautiful Celtic Cross. It's weighty so it feels like a great quality piece of jewelry. The blue topaz is a nice shade of blue as well.

I would have put 5 stare but this necklace didn't come with chain to hang on. otherwise very nice and I would buy another one. and shipping was good. I would recommend it

The black portions of this piece were not as dark as pictured. I think it looks much more dramatic with the black. But it is still very nice.
