I have pierced ears but wanted the big, Betty Draper-type vintage look so have been buying clip-ones. (Betty Draper, don't listen to the naysayers, I love you!!) She wore a lot of huge pearl earrings but I don't buy actual pearls since it's not worth it to me to kill an oyster for an earring, so I go simulated. These pearls are a good sized, not small but not overly big. I would have preferred larger but the size was accurate to the depiction. They come with little circular pads with a raised bump on the inside to help prevent pain. I'm very sensitive to pinching and went ahead and bought even bigger pads to put on the backs which help even more. I have read that pierced ears actually hurt more than non-pierced ears with clip ons - or it could just be that I'm a huge baby. I also found YouTube tutorials on how to loosen clip ons and that helped the pinching too. It was definitely worth the work for these refined, timeless, lovely earrings. They add a cultured touch to my outfits.

Nice looking, but I should have paid more attention to the size of the earrings. My fault - the dimensions were probably listed. I had hoped fro a larger size earring.
