This replaced a previous Seiko watch given to me about 35 years ago, so I know Seiko quality and longevity.My first impression after receiving the watch is quality. The hand movement is accurate. The green background is beautiful, and it's offset nicely by the gold markings on the face and the hands. The watch band also has gold accents on it. I chose one with a quartz movement so I didn't have to worry about restarting an automatic winder.If I have anything negative, it's that you have to be VERY careful if you do your own band sizing, to not lose and almost microscopic collar that goes in every link. I did, and ended up paying a good watch repair place $10 to fix that up again.This isn't a high-end watch, sure, but I did receive a large discount on it and still paid several hundred $$$. If you're looking for a watch that looks classy but doesn't set you back a lot of $$$, this one is it.

Titanium used for band and watch. It's weight has obviously less than my prior SIEKO. It looks great. I had to research what a sapphire glass is. I found the only thing harder is an actual diamond. I don't think scratches will be an issue. I've been using for a few days now. It's keeps good time. Easy to set date and time. It was already running when I opened the box. I read the instructions. This is normal for SEIKO so the initial battery may not last as long as a replacement will. When second hand starts moving in 2 second increments, time to have the battery replaced.Also a tool for removing links is provided but. I chose to pay a jeweler $10 to do it for me.Lastly, I think it looks great.The Amazon price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this watch.Warning. For some reason this watch did not include a SEIKO warranty card? That's on the seller not SEIKO. Watch includes a one year warranty from the seller. I've never had a problem with a SEIKO so this should not be an issue.

My new favorite watch. I'd been looking for something with a bit of vintage Air King or Grand Seiko 9F look and this will definitely scratch that itch. Time keeping is perfect and the second hand hits the markers well. This watch is supremely comfortable and the bracelet was very easy to size myself. Yes, the bracelet rattles, but this is only noticeable when taking the watch on or off. On wrist, you're good to go.Sapphire crystal and 100m water resistance for under $150. Incredible. Plus it's made by probably the greatest watch maker on Earth. This is a strong candidate for the best value watch period.That dial. So clean and elegant. Mesmerizing. Looks like a four figure watch all day long.The presence of Lumibrite hands and indexes is welcome as is the very legible and framed date window. Makes for a very versatile everyday piece. It's certainly on the dressier side, but sporty enough to wear with most clothes. There are titanium versions of this same watch for a fair bit more money, but I don't know why you'd want those. It's already very light and stainless steel looks just looks better at this price.Final thought: just buy it and enjoy. I know a lot of people hate quartz watches, but this one just might change their minds!

This is a great watch for a non-watch person. It’s a extremely simple yet effective design, very utilitarian yet classy and sharp looking.My feedback is overall positive, however being that this is the Seiko Essentials line, I do feel some corners were cut to meet the price point. For instance, while the bracelet is extremely easy to size and Seiko is even awesome enough to provide the tool, the bracelet itself is pretty cheap and squeaky. But that’s okay, it’s effective and gets the job done.The second hand doesn’t align up with the markers. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, and I know this happens to many different quartz brands, but it would have been nice.The crown is a little sloppy and not very smooth. It clicks multiple times and sometimes you click it too little or too late to change the date and end up stopping the second hand, messing up your time.The best part is this watch by far to me, is the sapphire crystal. A sapphire crystal in a watch under $200 is pretty tough to find, and I feel like this is where most of the money is in this watch. At this price alone, I can forgive the minor short comings for the sapphire crystal, it along with the design of the watch is what made me purchase it.I work in IT in the office at times, and I wanted something that was thin and stylish, while at the same time can withstand a few bumps. I wouldn’t exactly say my job is a physical job, but there are times I’m switching out equipment in a conference room or hooking up peripherals underneath a desk, or configuring a computer. I take comfort in knowing that inevitable smacks against objects is going to not result in any scratches on the face, and I love how thin it is. I don’t really want to wear a G Shock or a Tool watch. Even though this is considered a “dress” watch, I feel like it’s completely appropriate for everyday wear. It’s very understated and super comfortable.So, I’m only removing 1 star for the few shortcomings and corners Seiko had to cut to fit the sapphire crystal in the time piece, but I’m overall very happy with my purchase and absolutely recommend it.

Just a great looking watch, that is so light you forget its there. The quality is fantastic, a prefect everyday type watch. Great job Seiko!
