This is my second watch-winder. My first from another company stopped working about three months after I received it as a gift. My daughter bought the Asurion extended warranty service. We made a claim and sent the unit in for repair (One of the winder motors died). It's been a month, and I am still waiting to hear something from Asurion. The only way to contact Asurion is by email. However, the email service does not receive incoming emails. This unit has controls for both the direction and duration of winding. It also has a backlighted display behind the winders that softly illuminates the case interior. The winders also stop when opening the case to avoid damage to the winders. So far, so good. This unit received better reviews than my previous unit, but both are made in China. So we'll see how long it lasts. Don't bother with the extended warranty service. It's worthless!
