I think the best part of this set are the dies used to close the cases. They come in a wide range of sizes and especially like that they are concave. IT really helps with the watch crystals and keeping them from damage when you press the watch case backs on. This is for snap back case closing, and helps to make sure the pressure is even all around when the case back is snapped back onto the case. The lever is a little loose and can be misaligned and the dies could also sit a little crooked, so be careful. But for more experienced hobbyists, this case closer should be okay to use when needed. It serves as a good addition to my current tools, and should be a good case closer for most quartz type watches.

This is good for pressing back on snap watch case backs, which it does well enough. The different sized dies screw on securely and stay parallel for the most part. The plastic is soft without any sharp edges or burrs that could damage the watch crystal or case back. The spring loaded hand lever makes it convenient to make this a one-handed operation. Well, one hand is still holding the watch case steady. Be warned, this looks like the tool that pops out and pressed in watch crystals, but I wouldn't try it with this product. As I mentioned, the dies stay mostly parallel, but it's not perfect and there is a slight jiggle. Good enough to snap on the case backs, but not tight enough tolerances to ensure the crystal installs cleanly and evenly. But it might be okay to use to pop out the crystal. This tool is what I need, which is to change batteries. I'll leave crystal replacements to the pros.
