Initial Impressions: TAXAU put together a very nice dress watch with a modern vibe and dimensions.All the Details: This TAXAU watch features a stepped, Champagne sunburst dial with black printed chapter markers and lume-filled, silver-edged triangular hand minute and hour hands, and a conductor’s baton second hand. There is also an outer seconds track with lumed pips at each hour. The dial includes a day and date complication in a framed silver window. The three piece case with down-turned lugs is fully polished and topped with a box crystal. To complete the package, it comes on a black, genuine leather, alligator-embossed strap with a signed, milled stainless steel buckle. In other words, all the design elements of this watch come together into an elegant, dressy package.Just to clarify one point, the Amazon listing makes the watch face look like metallic gray, but in hand, it is a metallic beige, often called “Champagne”. The pics I've included are more representative of the actual color.Inside, the watch is powered by a more expensive version of the Rotekt SL28 (see pic) that includes the day/date complication at 3:00. After four days of running, time accuracy was perfect. Indexing of the second hand is spot on, evidence of good quality control. The watch strap is only genuine leather, but wears comfortably after breaking in for only a couple of hours.Watch dimensions include a case diameter of 41 mm, lug-to-lug of 48 mm, a thickness of 11 mm, and a lug width of 20 mm—all larger dimensions for a dress watch, but in line with current trends in fashion watches. From my measurements, the strap should fit wrists from 6-5/8 to 8-1/2 inches, and worked very well on my 7-inch wrist.Overall, TAXAU has done an excellent job at creating a modern-looking dress watch at a very affordable price, especially when you consider the cost of the more complicated movement. If you’re in the market for an inexpensive dress watch, this is definitely worth a look.

This is an attractive watch that feels when worn just as you'd expect it would based on the photo. It's neither heavy nor light-weight, and the included black leather watchband fits well, with two securing loops to hold the end part of the strap in place. The band is indeed leather -- the pleasant smell is unmistakable, and the texture and sheen both say leather.I had a little difficulty getting the day / date set. The breakthrough came when I noticed how very very slight is the difference between crown positions 1 and 2. Just be aware the gradations are pretty tiny, so don't get frustrated setting it. If you have trouble, just put the crown back into starting position 1 ("normal position") and pull it out again, more slowly and carefully this time.I haven't had this long enough to know if it's accurate, but it's got a quartz movement, so I'm sure it'll be fine for my purposes, especially given the low price point.I can't justify deducting any stars for this; it's very nice and I'd get it again.

Taxau's Big Face men's dress watch exudes a touch of class, and luxury with its classic case design and arabic numeral adorned face. It has the day/date display at 3 o'clock. It has a resemblance to old classic Hamilton watches of old. The black reptile embossed leather band is very handsome and compliments the watch. Its size is not too big, the trend these days. So it has a proportional aesthetic to it on your wrist. It look far more expensive than this fashion watch really is. A good watch value for a daily watch.The quartz movement keeps time exceedingly well. But don't submerse the watch in water as it's note rated for deep water. It's very light, indicating the case is likely zinc, plated and polished to a luster.The Taxau is my 2nd one, and this one is more impressive than my last one! Very satisfied with it, and highly recommended.

Nice bold face that is easy to read. No problem with allergic reactions to the metal, so that's good. The leather band is big enough to fit any wrist up to 10 inches, which is of course very big. I like it a lot. It has kept perfect time too.
