The box arrived damaged. Something had caused the hinges to pull out of the wood on both sides and split the wood a bit across the back. Normally I wouldn't slam it just for that (I don't blame the product for shipping issues), but because of this I could see that it's not solid wood, but a veneer of some sort, and that the screws were small and not very deep. For this kind of money I expected something a bit more solid.
