I’ve had this necklace for over 3 years and was devastated when the chain broke earlier this week. Despite the chain breaking, I immediately ordered another one. I could have bought a replacement chain but the necklace is such a good price, it was easier to just repurchase the necklace altogether. This necklace has survived consistent, daily wear for 3+ years, beach and pool trips, and daily showering (probably the reason the chain broke). The necklace is so beautiful, durable and affordable. I got 2 of these - one silver, one gold, as gifts. The silver is beautiful and giftable. The gold looks cheap. Chain is sturdy and adjustable which I love - you can shorten or add length as you wish. The star sits beautifully on the chain.
