This is on me for not looking closely enough at the dimensions. The tray itself is fine, it's not super high quality but it's good enough for the price. If you want a tray big enough for all your EDC gear though, you'll want something else. This is more of a "wallet and keys" type of tray, not a "sunglasses, watch, flashlight, knife, gun, wallet, badge, ear pods, etc" type of tray.
