This is such a beautiful watch! The pictures don't really do it justice. (I got the round silver version.) I purchased this watch because I don't like wristwatches. It's a little difficult to read because of all the mechanics but it is definitely a work of art! This would make a great gift, especially for anyone who's into Steampunk. Highly recommended!(Edit) The only negative thing I will say about the watch is that it does not come with an instruction manual (or at least mine didn't). It is a mechanical watch so it must be wound but there's no indication of how often to wind it. It has stopped working for me a couple times but I just had to rewind it and all was good. So now I wind it to its maximum every few hours just to be sure. (Once it reaches the maximum amount of winding, you won't be able to wind it further.) But it would be nice to know how often to wind it. Also, pull up on the winder to set the time, then push it back down to wind it. Other than that, it is an amazing watch and work of art!

I bought this for myself as an interesting little knick-knack. I'm thoroughly impressed so far. Seems accurate, beautiful ticking noise, easy to set. Gears can be watched through the glass, which is beautiful to see. One gear oscillates very visibly constantly. Readability isn't terrific, but you should probably expect that just from looking at the pictures, since this watch is partly about displaying the beauty and harmony of the internal workings, and you can definitely read it just fine when you have to; at least I can. Feels of a much sturdier build than you'd expect for $22.00. If you want it for *yourself* as a cheap nice thing to come in your Amazon mail to cheer you up -- like I did -- then I'd recommend just buying it. You probably won't regret it for the price. I can think of numerous people who would very much enjoy this watch, even if they don't take it with them daily.

A very unique time piece. I love watches. Wind ups only, no batteries. This way I can wear them now a month from now or even years from now and they still run. No batteries needed!

After winding the watch did not work. Several attempts later I tossed it in the trash. If you order a watch that cheap, especially a pocket watch, it's a crap shoot. Benefit is you don't lose much. I do have another brand that still keeps good time...for now at least..

The watch is absolutely beautiful. Like the other reviews say, the hands and numerals are hard to see, which is obvious in the product photos online. Mine did come with pre-existing scratches that was a complete disappointment. The photo I posted shows the worst of the damage, but the scratches completely surround the back crystal. It does look like someone took the back of the case off and scratched it up during the process. Definite pry marks. Very sad since this is supposed to be a brand new watch. Other than that, the watch is fine. It wound up, and the balance spring jumped to life immediately. Has a nice soft ticking sound that I enjoy very much. Only 2 visible jewels on the watch, which are on the top and bottom of the balance spring. I feel this watch is an excellent value for someone wanting a skeleton watch for display, minus the damage upon unboxing of course. I will edit my review if I run into any problems. I do plan on carrying this watch daily for work. We shall see what the next 6 months has to offer. 12/27/2023
