The post is 16g and comfortably snug. You could switch out for a longer post if you want to keep the triangle look but have wider lobes. They fit me well. I found if you hold the back one steady (I put these on from the front, like normal post earrings) and just move it until you hear the click of the post threads going into the triangle threads then you can use your other hand to rotate the front triangle. It makes it a lot easier than trying to spin the back triangle to screw these on.I cook at panda express and we can have one simple pair of earrings but with these theres much less chance of losing the back somewhere. Butterfly backs can come off so easily.

I am really allergic to metals and even when I wear silver my lobes get really irritated. I stopped wearing earrings altogether for a long time until I found these! Since they are surgical steel they don't cause any irritation. The post seemed kinda small but it's actually a perfect fit an LOVE that they're screw in so I don't have the back poking behind my ear. Great purchase!

I really love these, they look exactly as they do in the photo. I think the posts are a little thicker than a typical stud earring, as I could definitely feel my lobes stretching when they went in. It wasn't painful, but I've never gauged my ears or anything so I could tell they were a larger size. I couldn't feel anything 5 minutes later, so it's fine. I've had them in for 3 straight days and they haven't discolored the skin around my ears or anything. The flat backs are comfortable for sleeping - all in all exactly what I was looking for. One reviewer said to hold the back one in place and screw in the front one and that worked well for me.

These are great and I love the size of them but the posts are larger then regular earring posts, which made them hurt a bit when I wore them for the first time.

EDIT PART TWO: Almost EIGHT years later and I still wear these night and day, 24/7.EDIT: It is now FIVE years later and I still wear these every day! I’m amazed by these, please buy them and you won’t regret it.LOVE THESE BUY THEM. Had my ears pierced since before I turned one, finally got sick of earrings jabbing my skull while trying to sleep and decided to convert to flat back posts. I've worn these daily, without removal, for months now with zero issues. Hasn't loosened, no difficulty with the screws, perfect width for lobes, and most importantly they don't irritate my incredibly sensitive ears!

I got them last week and they are great so far! They are thicker than normal earrings so it stretches out your hole a little bit but the soreness went away within 2 days and I'm happy to say I love them. I don't like taking earrings on and off everyday so these are great. I did need help from my husband to put them on the first time but they are snug and secure.

I've been wearing these earrings for 4 years now, only taking them out to clean them/my ears or for special occasions where I wore something else, I'm buying another pair as I somehow lost one of the triangles while cleaning them.... I love these so so much
