Especially liked the taller sides, which keep items from falling out. It has ample room for an assortment of items—glasses, hearing aids, rings, keys, etc. If you make an effort to put your nose close to the tray, it does smell faintly like leather. It is real leather, & leather smells like leather; plastic smells like plastic. My only issue was that I was able to only snap one of the snaps easily. The other 3 snapped with slight pressure from a needle nose pliers. We’re very happy with the tray and happy it was a made in the USA product. It’s a very good design.

Bough the black 7x7 leather tray for my boyfriends birthday. Figured this sort of leather accessory could be a good spot for him to place keys, wallet, cartridges, coins, etc all In one spot. He had never mentioned wanting or needing a tray like this before but now that he has one, he wants more lol he’s very happy with the overall look, quality and size. The ONE thing is getting the snaps aligned was a challenge. They are very tough! Follow the instructions. * in the first pic, there is a passport wallet and an iPhone 11.

My older son has one of these from another brand (made in Italy) and little brother wanted one for himself. It is very nice. I would have given five stars but I didn't realize the inside walls are an unfinished leather. The other one I purchased was more refined with both sides of the leather being treated and the edges are finished in black. This one appears more rustic which is fine too depending on preference. I would recommend!
