Nobody in my house has a very big or thick neck, but the included chain was just long enough to let the pendant hang at the level of our collarbone. It might be useful for some people to exchange the chain to something more comfortable.The stone is set in a silver setting that has a mesh pattern on the back-- the stone itself is visible on front and back and appears to be uniform all the way through, and is certainly stone (not plastic of any kind) to the touch. I'm not enough of an expert in gemstones to say whether this is definitely turquoise with gold or pyrite, or some other kind of metallic gold inclusion. The color and overall look of this piece is great, very bright and clean.

This necklace is so pretty! I ordered the turquoise pendant and I love the coloring. The chain is a good length and the clasp feels strong.Though I ordered this for myself, I would definitely recommend it as a gift.

Actually quite beautiful. I got this for my wife as a "side gift" I stuffed a gift card inside the packaging. and then used this as a stocking stuffer. But it was quite beautiful and she loved it and hasnt taken it off since xmas eve. Great price and great looking. I would recommend.
