Allow me to clear up any previous concerns I’ve read -I have worn these for a couple weeks now and they have not irritated my ears at all. My ears are highly sensitive to metals and some plastics. So from my personal experience they are friendly for those with sensitive ears.They are real wood that is smoothly polished and very light weight.The post themselves are acrylic and slightly flexible. I can see where some claim they are sharp, but they are so sharp they are pin point or will pierce the skin. I will say to the seller it would be much better if the post edges were filed/rounded off for a smooth edge.Yes, this style of earring can take some getting used to in putting on. But that is absolutely no reason to leave negative feedback! That is on your end and your issue, not the sellers. This style is unique and requires more patience to putting in, rather than the usual earring that’s quick and easy to put in. After some practice it will become easier and faster, like anything else you learn after practice. (It irks me when people leave negative feedback on a seller when it is not the sellers fault)Once these are in you forget they are there because of how light they are. They are comfortable and will not come out so long as you have pushed the posts in snugly - but not too tight or it’ll be difficult to remove them.I am very satisfied with these earrings. This style is personally my favorite style of earrings. I have several pairs of this style and these have found a place among my collection. I wear them often and not one complaint other than the posts should be filed/rounded off for a smooth edge. I received them in the mail after almost 2 weeks or ordering and in a gift box.I’ve gotten many compliments on them.So thank you to the seller. And to the buyer - this is my experience with these. I’m very particular with jewelry, because jewelry design and making is my own business and livelihood, and I would recommend these. If you can accept that this style takes some practice and you like his style, go for it :-) I love my pair. You’ll love yours.**Edit Update** A friend of mine ordered these as well, and the pair she received are more obviously plastic, not wood. I was surprised. I inspected my pair much closer by shaving off a tiny part, and mine are plastic as well. They have been polished and glazed. I made a mistake in thinking they were highly polished wood. Since I claimed these were wood I wanted to correct my feedback.

Very pretty! They are very hard to put on at first, but you will get used to it. These do not feel heavy, but I imagine overtime they would stretch your ears. They have a very strong scent, when you first get them, so please make sure you are washing your jewelry BEFORE trying them on.

Yes, they are beautifully crafted but I have yet to get them through my ear. Yes, these are fake gauges but you definitely need some stretch in your ears or these are not for you!!! Wish I would have known that before trying them on.They are basically a decoration on my dresser now :)

These are a HUGE disappointment. Not even close to being worth the price. The only positive is how lightweight they are, but it's because they're made from incredibly cheap plastic. You can tell they're plastic. They don't look like wood at all which is what is pictured and was stated it would be. It did not say faux or imitation wood.
