I ordered this to replace one I gave my husband 13 years ago before he came across the country to visit/meet my family & just never went back; this, among several other heirlooms, never made the move and were supposed to be held in trust, but yada yada yada likely sold for drugs by a naughty family member with a serious problem. Anyway, I digress LOL I decided to replace it for our 12th anniversary. The original I got was hand-crafted from a little shop in Scottland, but they are closed with the pandemic and I didn't want to wait too long anyway - shipping has been a nightmare in general & I figured it would be worse than ever to deal with customs. So, enter Amazon...I found some that looked similar from many vendors, read up on the reviews & ultimately chose this style and vendor for a few reasons:- Their price was AMAZING, being about half to 1/3 of what some were charging for what looked in vendor pics and reviews to be much cheaper-looking products.- I noted that their shipping times indicated they have inventory here in the US, so it wouldn't take weeks or months and I didn't see any complaints in reviews about their shipping.- They looked among the best &, coupled with the price tag, I decided to buy 2 of them so we can give one to each of our kids eventually for when they have an intended.I don't regret choosing this one over some of the more expensive ones at all. They are really well done, super detailed, and just beautiful. They are smaller than the original he had, but he really loves them & I couldn't be happier. They came literally overnight - gotta love Amazon LOL. Anyway, if you have any worries about it being so cheap, I'd offer that it's worth a shot & you can always return it, right? Slàinte mhath!
