They're just the right size. But they are not the same size as the photo, which is huge. These are a little bigger than a silver dollar.Also, in order for them to lay correctly, you have to put them in the right ear--meaning, there is a left one and a right one. If it looks backwards, put it in the other ear.Of course, these are costume jewelry earrings so they look pretty cheap close up, but on, they're really cute. At first I thought the gold would be too tacky, but actually it works. Great price for a style that's hard to find
