This is a simple, analog, old school style of watch but, hey, I love it! The dial is easy to read and, dare I say (?), quite stylish in an outdoorsy way. The band I chose was velcro. It works wonderfully! The "light" is a great feature especially at night and in a low light environment. Hey, if you want a rugged, simple but stylish analog watch there is none better!

Biggest selling point for me was the Velcro strap. I have a thin wrist and the strap on this watch allows me to adjust to a secure and comfortable fit ! Totally Satisfied

I was on the hunt for a cream dial military style field watch and this Timex Expedition fit the bill!It looks awesome with the orange accents that pop, black date wheel and hands. The case is dark brown plastic but it makes the watch durable and very lightweight, feels great on the wrist. I wasn't in love with the original strap so I threw on a leather single pass style band and looks 100 times better in my opinion.Only complaint, is it has an extremely loud tick. The ticking drives me nuts sometimes and I can't have it out in the open in my room at night which makes the awesome indigo feature kind of pointless for me. Walking around outside it's not bad but indoors it is loud AF.

Got this as a gift to my boyfriend who was needing a new watch. He love it, stylish, and easy to read with military time as well. He has a smaller wrist and usually has to punch an extra hole in watch bands but the tightest setting literally fit him perfectly and the watch face isn't too large on his wrist. Push in the dial and it lights up the clock face which is great for his night flights (He's a pilot). Only down side is he wears it on the left wrist and if he moves his wrist up too much it pushes in the dial that's lights the clock face up on accident.

I've just received the watch, so I can't comment on the durability. Hopefully it lasts a long time, because I really like this watch. My first impression of the watch was that it was a bit smaller than what I'm used to wearing. But when I put it on, it seemed like a good fit. The band looks great and feels pretty comfortable. I like the color of the band, and of the watch face itself. Even with my older eyes (56 years), I can easily read the time. The date, not so much. It's pretty tiny. Setting the time and date was pretty simple. And even though I knew this watch had it, I stumbled upon activating the Indiglo feature by accident. It's pretty cool, btw. Some people have commented on the ticking. The environment in which I wear the watch is never completely silent, even at home. I have to put the watch pretty close to my ear to hear it, and I have good hearing. When I do hear it, it's actually a pleasant sound to me.To sum it all up, I love this watch! I actually do a little watch collecting. This is by far the least expensive watch I own. And now, the one I'll wear the most.

As a woman I recommend this watch. It's rugged, practical and easy to read.

A beautiful watch for a good price.

Love this watch but the button spring is either too weak or the button plunger bends/sticks, causing the indiglo light to stay on after bending your wrist enough to depress it and it remains depressed. It’s too dim to notice during the daytime or with lights on inside. Swapped the battery and have made it a habit to periodically pull the button out a bit with my fingernail to keep this from happening. The indiglo actually stopped working on the first watch, with only a very small (1mm diameter) dim light near the bottom of the watch face when depressing the button, even with a new battery, but the watch still functions otherwise. They’re cheap enough and I like the watch style, simplicity, and price enough to have bought another since this purchase in 2019, but the new one suffers from the same issue and needed a premature battery replacement also. The date feature has also recently stopped working and won’t change.Maybe I’m too hard on them, wearing while doing mechanic work and yard work, etc. and sometimes hitting/catching it on hard parts and objects; also frequently bending my wrist enough to hit the button. I would think a field watch would be made to handle all of that, but I digress…Maybe a stiffer spring or tougher plunger/shaft would remedy this. Hope Timex sees this, but maybe it’s not cost effective enough to address this issue. Just something to keep in mind! Haven’t found another field watch I like to try out instead and still wear the newer one daily! New one still keeps time and indiglo still works, just not the date.
