This watch is the ultimate in a basic and simplistic watch. It is very simple (once you learn the pattern of the modes and how to change settings). The main display will show you the time, month/date and day of the week and in dark or dim lighting, a simple press of a button will light the screen for 3 seconds. It has a chronometer, timer and alarm. The band is durable and tough, yet is very comfortable. With the price of smart watch or fitness tracker now, this is real bargain. I have had cheaper versions of a smart watch and fitness tracker. Unlike those, there is no need to charge this, it is easy to read in sunlight and I don't need to worry about the charge running out. The battery will last a long time. This purchase is to replace my last one, which was my first. I had it so long that I don't remember when I bought it. However, I thought I could just replace the battery. That proved to be too difficult because the back cover was not easy to remove. For the price of a replacement battery, I thought that I may as well just buy a new one. I still think this watch is worth it.

This watch is great for everyday gear. It's light and comfortable (you hardly notice you're wearing it), easy to read, clearly shows time day and date, has support for two time zones, and has a chronograph (up to 10 laps), countdown timer, and alarm feature. It also has the Timex Indiglo feature. It's also a very good looking watch. I'm specifically referring to the Timex item # T5K6079J, which is gray/black with orange trim. The functions are simple and intuitive. I have not experienced the "hair-trigger buttons" problem that others have mentioned (maybe this was true of earlier models). I also like the fact that it is not too big. If you are looking for a functional, lightweight, inexpensive watch -- this is for you. Great job, Timex. I hope you keep making this style of watch.

I like the simplicity of the watch. It's easy to set up and fills all of my needs. I gave it 4 stars only because the resin band is cheap and they should use a rubber band. If that is too costly, Timex should offer a choice to upgrade the band. Also, the watchbands should be offered in other colors. I believe it is a good dollar value. It keeps ticking and I wear it 24 hrs. a day.

This watch does exactly what it says on the tin! It's very lightweight, not obtrusive at all and one thing that is worth mentioning is the small sleeve that locks the band in place. Good design.Functions are all intuitive and easy to use. This is a solid, lightweight, unobtrusive watch that does everything well that it advertises. Well-priced too.

Watch did not work. Lower button on face was jammed. I took it apart and repaired it with parts from an older watch.

Other than the side buttons being over-sensitive (they can be easily pushed by just bending your wrist), the watch itself is fine: easy to read, lightweight, not too expensive. The problem is the band. Mine broke after ~8 months of non-strenuous daily use (no damage, no exposure to extreme weather, only got it wet in the shower). Low and behold, the band isn't covered under the Timex warranty, and replacement bands are expensive and only come in black. So my watch is still ticking, but it's now useless less than a year after purchase.

Love this watch! This is my second Timex Ironman watch. The only reason I had to buy another was because I misplaced my first watch after 5 years of daily wear. I really only use the stopwatch feature (other than the clock) but love the design and look of the watch. It's very durable and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this watch.
